Metro’s Semi-Automatic Toll Collection system has many of the features of the fully automatic system, but also relies on human operators to collect the tolls. Software collects and records data, generates traffic reports, and audits the collection of money and class of vehicles. The toll barrier opens and closes automatically in synchronization with the receipt of payment and exit of vehicle. The system creates an audit of the vehicle class identified by the operator and by the system, and makes a recording of the violating incidents.
